As the Porgera-Paiela District joins Papua New Guinea in celebrating 50 years of Independence, New Porgera Limited (NPL) has supported the district celebrations with K50,000.
NPL’s support was presented by NPL General Manager, James McTiernan, to Porgera-Paiela Member of Parliament, Gidron Maso Karipe, at the Porgera District Administration Office this week.
During the presentation, McTiernan reaffirmed NPL’s commitment to working together with the MP and his district administration.
“As the major contributor to the local economy, NPL is pleased to support the Porgera-Paiela District in celebrating the country’s 50th Independence Anniversary”.
In this golden jubilee year of celebrations, McTierna said NPL is pleased to play a part in ensuring that the host community celebrates this important milestone, which will be remembered for many years to come.
