RURAL PRIMARY SCHOOL RECEIVES RUGBY JERSEYS

Sakarip Primary School in Wabag Rural Local Level Government has received a set of jerseys from the Papua New Guinea NRL Bid Academy Program to participate in the school boy’s rugby league.
Community leader and senior public servant David Yandala extended his appreciation for the support.
He urged the students to remain focused both in the classroom and on the field.
“Keep yourselves healthy and disciplined through Rugby League. It will not only build your body but also strengthen your mind for education,” Yandala said.
Mt Hagen Academy U19 Coach Bobby Koke expressed gratitude for the support and commended the school for being the first in the country to receive such a donation under the PNGNRL Academy Pathway Program.
“This jersey is more than just a uniform it is a symbol of opportunity, peace, and progress,” he added.
Enga Provincial Sports Coordinator Jonah McKay, acknowledged the efforts and thanked local leaders and teachers for supporting initiatives that promote unity.
He further encouraged students and community members to take part in Community Peace Games in addition to the schools Rugby Football League, as a way to restore and maintain law and order in the region.
