Ombudsman Commission seeks clarifications on leadership tribunals

The Ombudsman Commission has filed a constitutional reference to seek clarity on two issues relating to the guidelines of leadership tribunals.

Firstly they are questioning whether the 2006 amendments made to Section 27-4 of the Organic Law on the Duties and Responsibilities of Leadership, on evidence requirement, is constitutional.

Secondly, they are seeking clarity on when a suspension of a leader should occur after they have been referred by the Ombudsman.
