Morobe Governor and Finschhafen MP, Rainbo Paita has commended Menyamya open member Solen Loifa for delivering major impact projects in Menyamya District
Paita made the remarks earlier this week when he attended the official opening of the Menyamya District’s office complex, police station, market, water supply and the refurbished rural lock-up facility.
The projects were opened in front of thousands of people from across Menyamya who gathered to witness the milestone occasion.
Paita told the people of Menyamya that they had elected a good leader and are now seeing the results of their choice.
“You have elected a good leader and this is what you get when you vote in someone with the heart to serve you,” Paita said.
He revealed that the modern designs for the new district complex, market and other infrastructure were the same designs he had used to transform Finschhafen District.
“I gave the same designs to Menyamya because I want to see Menyamya also rise like Finschhafen,” Paita added.
He further urged the people of Menyamya to take ownership and look after the new facilities, and to work closely with the government to ensure more services are delivered to the remote district.
“You must look after these properties. These are your properties and you must work hard to help the government deliver where possible,” he said.
He also stated that the new office complex will improve public service delivery, the new police station and refurbished lock-up will improve law and order, while the new market and water supply will directly improve the lives of mothers and families.
Meanwhile, Loifa thanked Governor Paita for his continuous support to Menyamya District.
