Maipakai granted permission to leave country for duty travel

Minister for Industrial Relations and Labour, Mark Maipakai has been granted permission by the Court to leave the country for duty travel.

Maipakai is currently on bail for criminal charges against him by the Task Force Sweep Team.

The Waigani Committal Court had earlier in the year allowed him bail on the condition that he remains in the National Capital District.

Yesterday he had filed an urgent application to seek the National Court’s permission to have duty travel to Fiji for two weeks.

Judge Panuel Mogish agreed but upon his return the bail conditions resume.
