Supporting the K6 billion loan, Member for Mendi, De Kewanu applauded the Chinese government for having total confidence in the O’Neill Dion Government approving what is to be the biggest loan ever under taken by any government.
Adding, if the loan is used for its intended purpose it will open the economy. Mr Kewanu said PNG must protect its national assets in preparation for the windfall of LNG.
He believes one day PNG will be the financial hub of the Pacific and it’s time to take bold steps now.
