Lands Minister and Moresby South MP Give Dinghies to Coastal Communities Within His Electorate

The coastal communities of Moresby South today received a boost to their transportation needs with eight brand new dinghies. Lands Minister and Moresby South MP, Justin Tkatchenko, said over the next few months he will be distributing more dinghies, as these are just the first of 24.Among the eight, one was given to Daugo Primary School located on Fishermen Island, which has been the school’s biggest need for transportation.

Marape Resigns as Finance Minister Citing a Loss of Trust From the PM and Interference by Govt Associates

The resignation of Papua New Guinean’s Finance Minister, James Marape, has sent shockwaves  through  the country’s  political  circles.The  unexpected announcement came at midday when Mr. Marape held a  briefing with the media at his Vulupindi  Haus office in Port Moresby. James Marape, who has been Finance Minister since 2012,  said his decision was because the Prime Minister, Peter O’Neill,   and ‘his associates’ had ‘lost trust’ in him.

‘Family Breakdown’ a cause of the rise in Sexual Abuse Offence on Children  

Morobe’s Police Commander, Superintendent Alex N’Drasal told EM TV News that a breakdown in the family is one of the cause in the rise of sexual abuse on minors, especially girls. He said this after the Police arrested a man last week for producing pornography involving a schoolgirl from Wau in Bulolo District, who came into Lae, to look for money to pay her school fee.
