Australia’s new Ambassador to Women and Girls, Dr Sharman Stone, spent her first official international trip as Ambassador at the 2017 PNG Women’s Highlands Region Forum held in Goroka.
Dr Stone says she is focusing on women becoming members of Parliament, or those seeking election at the local government level.

Dr Stone shared her 20-year experience in the Australian Parliament, with the participants at the Forum. She is advocating for women and girls equal participation in political, economic and social affairs.
