Former Chief Oncologist, Dr. John Niblet, says without an oncologist, or cancer doctor, radiotherapy treatment cannot be planned for patients.
Patients currently admitted at the Cancer ward at Lae’s Angau Hospital will be immensely affected.

The other cancer treatments can be performed by a registrar; however, radiotherapy treatment will require a specialist which is a radiation oncologist.
