TRUKAI CONTINUES SUPPORT TO GOROKA SHOW

Trukai Industries has supported the 67th Goroka Show with a sponsorship of K20, 000.

Trukai has supported this historical cultural festival for over 10 years and has come on board again as Bronze Sponsors.

Part of the sponsorship will include the donation of 150 bags of 10kg Trukai medium grain rice to the singsing groups and 80 Trukai shirts and caps for the Show Marshalls.

This contribution reinforces Trukai’s commitment to supporting local traditions and community engagement.

As a long-time supporter of the Goroka Show, Trukai recognizes the event’s significance in promoting and preserving Papua New Guinea’s rich cultural heritage.

Trukai Industries Marketing Manager Maryanne Tom said, “Our sponsorship reflects our dedication to celebrating and supporting the unique cultural display of Papua New Guinea. We look forward to another successful event that showcases the incredible spirit of our communities,” said Tom.

Goroka Show Chairlady, Keryn Flynn Hargreaves thanked the Trukai for the continuous support and said the 2024 Goroka Show promises to be a vibrant celebration of the diverse cultures and traditions of the region, drawing thousands of visitors from across the country.

“The Goroka Show, renowned for its colourful displays of traditional dances, music, and artistry, is a key event on the national calendar. The support from Trukai Industries will

help ensure that the show continues to thrive and offer a platform for cultural expression

and unity,” said Keryn.

The three-day festival will commence on Friday 13th September and end on Sunday the

15th.

Trukai will have a booth set up and will conduct rice sampling as well as other fun games with participants walking away with free Trukai merchandise.
