Detecting corruption requires a strong whistle-blower protection system that enables employees in the private sector to report corruption.
This important workshop on addressing corruption in the private sector follows a similar workshop hosted by UNDP in addressing corrupt practices in the public sector.
Participants to this workshop include representatives in the private sector.
It was emphasized at the workshop that the fight against corruption is not straightforward.
It may involve challenges hence, the workshop was crucial in highlighting why whistle-blower is a powerful instrument to expose corrupt activities and dealings in the workplace.

This training workshop was held on the 6th of October, in Port Moresby.
The Preventing and Countering Corruption in Papua New Guinea Project was funded by the European Union and facilitated by the United Nations Development Program jointly supported by the Department of Justice & Attorney General and the Business Council of PNG.
