Madang Province is experiencing a widespread of malaria cases. More people tested positive to malaria as of November last year, and the number remains high today.
This has resulted in several health clinics like the Madang Urban town clinic, setting control measures on the number of patients attended to in a day, as a means of controlling its medical supplies from running out.
