PM Opens New Administration Building in Mul Baiyer/Lumusa

Prime Minister Peter O’Neill yesterday opened a new Administration block belonging to the Mul-Baiyer Lumusa Administration.

The building is a double story complex and worth K3 Million.

Prime Minister also visited Tinsely Hospital and promised to donate sick beds from his foundation.

Those who attended the opening yesterday were Works Minister, Francis Awesa, Foreign Affairs Minister, Rimbink Pato, Fisheries Minister, Mao Zeming, Labour and Industrial Relations Minister, Benjamin Poponawa, including Governor Paias Wingti, William Duma and Koi Trappe.

Others who also attended were development partners and dignitaries.

Prime Minister Peter O’Neill told the people of Mul-Baiyer Lumusa yesterday to put aside their differences and politics to allow development to take place.

O’Neill said the economy is alright and services are reaching the people.

The new district headquarter electorate will also house the public servants.

Local MP, Koi Trappe said such other projects for the electorate are rice factory, Sokum factory, Baiyer Zoo, Police houses, and a K300 Million road sealing project.

He brought in experts to manage the agriculture projects in the electorate.

Trappe urged the Prime Minister to assist in bringing water supply and electricity to the district headquarter.Meanwhile, Western Highlands Governor, Paias Wingti encouraged the people to have a stable government for change to take place.

He said begin next year the Provincial Government will set up a Southern Cross University at Hagen Park Secondary School.

Hagen Park will be part of the University.

As part of the people of Mul-Baiyer Lumusa’s appreciation, they presented 40 Pigs to the Prime Minister, 10 pigs to Works Minister and 5 pigs each to other MPs.
