Andrew and others rushed the victim to the Port Moresby General Hospital for treatment after he became unconscious.
A Community leader says reports will be compiled and presented to Police Commissioner, Gary Baki, the Police Minister, and the Government.
“We want the police hierarchy to look into this matter and discipline these rogue police officers,” said Thomas Yago.
Community leaders want the police hierarchy to respond swiftly on this matter.
The Police Internal Affairs Unit is aware of the incident, with the NCD command yet to make an official statement.
The deceased is 30 years old, and is from the Pori District in the Hela Province.
