Three More Weeks Before CPL Lewas Appear in Women’s World Cup Qualifiers

It will be three weeks before the CPL PNG Lewas make their appearance in the Cricket Women’s World Cup Qualifiers, in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

And Coach Rodney Maha has set pace on their path to Colombo, with the rigorous training they have been undergoing in the last two months.

The training sessions have become a routine for the Lewas in the last few weeks.

With only three weeks of training left, Maha is making sure all bases are covered.

In a previous interview with EMTV Sports, Coach Maha said he is confident his team will cause ripples in Colombo.

They will be competing in Group B with the rest of the bottom four; South Africa, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Scotland.

All three of their opponents are threatening but the Lewas are preparing to give them a tussle.

They will rest a week before their travel date. Though the squad will be announced in a few days, and a travel date is yet to be confirmed.
