Barramundis Captain Disappointed

After the 2 – 1 loss to the United Arab Emirates last week, in round five of the World Cricket League Championship ODI series, a disappointed Hebou PNG Barramundis Captain, Assad Vala, said despite being equal on level of play, his team did not grab opportunities when they came up.

He said, it was a jittery start for them, when they ended up losing by 82 runs to host, the Emirates, but their comeback in the second ODI, showed improvements in fielding and bowling, with their 26 runs win.

Unfortunately, the decider ODI did not go as planned.

The PNG side lost by 103 runs, a sour deficit to swallow.

The PNG captain admits, there are a lot of improvements to be done in the batting department.

Otherwise, the T/20 Inter-Continental Cup Series, round five tossed off yesterday.

It will be played next week, against host nation again, and the Barramundis, plan to make it play out in their favor this time.
