As an act of commemorating 100 days till the Commonwealth Games 2014 in Glasgow, the Gold, Silver and Bronze medals were unveiled on Monday 14th April.
Following on from the success of Team PNG at the Pacific Mini-Games in Wallis and Futuna last year, this year will see Team PNG travelling to Glasgow, Scotland to participate in the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games from the 23rd of July to the 3rd of August.
With just 92 days to go till the Games, Team PNG sees a total of 11 sports competing in Glasgow.
The following sports to take part are; athletics, boxing, judo, lawn bowls, men’s Rugby 7s, squash, swimming, table tennis, triathlon, weightlifting together with para-athletes taking part in athletics and powerlifting.
Rugby 7s has been the most recent inclusion into the Commonwealth Games, which will see the PNG Pukpuks team make their debut.
The team has been undergoing serious selections, and will go through a series of intense training programs prior to performing at this level of completion.
