OFC Media Workshop

Fiji Tano Waterfront Hotel played host to a four-day Media Officers Workshop.

The workshop was  aimed at equipping media officers, with up to date information on the constantly evolving media landscape.

The OFC, through the workshop, targeted member association media departments, to build the network of profiling football in the Oceania region.

The introduction of media officers in each of the eleven OFC countries began with a four year programme called ‘Win in Oceania’ in 2009.

The Programme has since then, been discontinued, however, was revived through the funding received from FIFA and OFC.

Papua New Guinea, Cook Islands, Fiji, Tonga, Vanuatu, New Zealand, American Samoa and Tahiti, who shared the goal to bring football to greater heights were part of the workshop.

The OFC Media Officers Workshop was held in Fiji from 3rd-6th April, and features a media and communication component, coupled with a television component led by OFC TV.
