Rugby League Club ‘Royals’ Awarded

by Tere Alex – EMTV, Port Moresby

Port Moresby Rugby League club, Royals, know a better way to appreciate their players’ outstanding efforts both on and off the field throughout this season.

The presentation was small but significant enough to boost confidence and commitment; and to keep the players focused and determined for 2015 season.

The Royals Rugby League Club is one of the three disciplinary forces club that is participating in the Port Moresby rugby league competition.

The Club made it into the preliminary knockouts but unfortunately missed out on the final spot to arch rivals Tarangaus in the semi playoffs, however this didn’t stop their women from making it into the finals.

Players were awarded for defence, leading try scorer, and the best player of the year. The occasion was well rewarded, according to Royals Premier skipper’ Michael Francis. The club will be out in full force come the 2015 Season.
