Private Schools Swimming Carnival

Today the Ela Murray Intentional School hosted its yearly swimming carnival with over 10 participating schools.

A total of 10 Private school affiliates every year for the swimming carnival in the first school term, 6 out of the 10 schools are from around Port Moresby.

Teachers and students from 6 private international schools gathered at the Ela Murray International School at Gordon for their swimming carnival.

This year, there were only 6 Private Schools who participated in the Port Moresby Private Schools Sports Association (PMPSSA) Swimming Carnival.

The events took place in three divisions; juniors, those who were born in 2009, 2008, and 2007, intermediate, those who were born between 2005 and 2002 and seniors, those who were born between 2001 and 1989.

The strokes or events that the kids competed in were the, backstroke, freestyle, butterfly, and 50 meter individual medley and 4X25 meter relay. This went for both male and female.

Participating schools were: Ela Murray International, Port Moresby International, Gordon International, Boroko East International, Korobosea International and St Joseph’s International.

There was about 200 plus students from the 6 schools that took part in the swimming carnival.
