More than 20 police personnel are undergoing an investigation interview workshop in Port Moresby.
This workshop is aimed at training police officers how to conduct interviews on both the witness and the suspect for prosecution.
This is the second Police Investigation Workshop held at the Bomana Training College endorsed by Commandant Chief Superintendent, Perou N’Dranou.
The first was held last week.
Through this workshop, police officers were educated on how to conduct investigative interviews on witnesses and suspects for prosecution.
So far, 400 police officers were trained under this program.
Program Facilitator, Senior Inspector Joseph Koii, said this program is recognised worldwide and has proven to be an important tool in filing prosecutions.
He added that training is also applicable to other government organisations like Fisheries and the Internal Revenue Commission, whom deal with investigations.
This program will run for two weeks.
