PNGTA President Frustrated Over Teaching Appointments

Over 50,000 teachers may face difficulties in their appointments to teaching positions in schools across the country.

Papua New Guinea Teachers Association President, Ugwalubu Mowana, today expressed frustration over the appointment gazette of teachers in NCD and other parts of the country.

Mr Mowana criticised the recent appointment gazette, saying there were many errors in it and this could affect the teaching calendar for the 2015 school year.

Mr Mowana stated that this week, a couple of school principals in NCD have spoken and written to him about teaching appointments that were not diligent.

Mr Mowana wants to know of the K100,000 given to all electorates in the country in 2012 for the update of data for schools in the electorates.

He said the names of all the MPs that have fully utilised the money for their respective electorates should be publicised for the people of the country to know.
