Nominations Open for Port Moresby Snooker Handicap Title

The Port Moresby Snooker Handicap championship is on again from October 18 t0 28, 2012.

Nominations are now open for all players affiliated to the POMBSA to take part.

Fee to register is K150 per player and forms available from the Aviat, Car and Port Moresby Country Club.

Leading insurance company Pacific MMI is the major sponsors of this prestigious handicap event for the six consecutive years.

Port Moresby Billiards and Snooker Association (POMBSA) public relations officer John Chan said 64 players are expected to register to be played over 10 days.

The event is open to both men and ladies and this is an event where the newcomers or those who have higher handicaps take on the top players.

There were more than 250 players affiliated to the POMBSA and it will be first come first serve and the first 64 that nominate and register will be accepted to play.

Anyone interested but not currently affiliated with POMBSA or has an handicap, will play off a zero handicap unless he or she is assessed by a handicap committee prior to the event starting.

Nominations will close at 12noon on Wednesday October 17 and the players’ registration and briefing will also be on that evening. The event set to cue off the next evening on October 18.

The 2012 Pacific MMI Port Moresby Handicap Challenge will be held at the Aviat, Car and Port Moresby country clubs.
