New Britain Palm Oil navigating through critical economic times

Despite the country’s economic setbacks in recent times, oil palm giant, New Britain Palm Oil, has managed to keep their head above water while keeping costs at bay.

The company this year celebrates their 50th year in the country operating in a volume based business.

General Manager, Harry Brock, credits consistency when telling NBPOL’s success story.

The company has recently invested in bio-gas facilities to reduce their costs of operation which is significantly cheaper than burning diesel.

NBPOL then resells some of the biogas to PNG Power which provides the SOE with a cheaper supply of power.
