Papua New Guinea is still developing a system of preserving records after 43 years of independence while government records are either being lost or destroyed.
Education Minister, Nick Kuman says the National Government will continue to fund libraries across the country and assist the National Library and Archives agency in Port Moresby.
He said this today at the Launching of the National Library and Archives 10-year strategic plan.
