NARI: Severe Food and Land Shortage for Coastal Islands

The National Agricultural Research Institute has predicted a severe food and land shortage as climate change impacts sets in coastal communities in the country.

Atoll islands like Manus and Carterets are expected to feel the pinch of the impact in a very big way.

Highlighted in a recent workshop facilitated by NARI, were food security and climate change adaptation, as key aspects to provide counter measures in prone regions.
