Namah urges Baki to make arrest of PM

Original plaintiff of the Paraka legal fees case, and Vanimo Green MP, Belden Namah, has urged Police Commissioner, Gari Baki, to effect the warrant of arrest for Prime Minister Peter O’Neill.

In a statement yesterday, Mr. Namah urged Commissioner Baki to invite the Prime Minister for questioning, to clear him of these allegations.

Mr. Namah also reiterated that Prime Minister O’Neill is innocent, unless proven guilty.

Mr. Namah said no one is above the law, and every citizen of the State is subject to the rule of law. “We all are subject to the rule of law, the Prime Minister must adhere and make himself available to the Police and allow investigations to continue,” said Namah.

Mr Namah said the matter has been in and out of the courts in the past 3 years and the National Court decision dismissing the appeal by PM’s lawyers must be embraced so justice is served. The Vanimo Green MP and PNG Party leader said Prime Minister Peter O’Neill must attend to the matter and clear himself of these allegations.
