Mount Diamond Adventist Secondary: Increasing Boarding Capacity

There will be an increase in boarding capacity for students attending Mount Diamond Adventist Secondary in Central Province. Thanks to the two new dormitories which are currently under construction.

Once completed, the dormitories will accommodate a total of four hundred students including both male and female. Mt Diamond has five hundred day students and three hundred boarding students. That is a total of population of eight hundred students.

Because of the location of the school, transportation remains a major concern. Travelling to school may take at least one hour because of the road conditions and the traffic congestion.

From this boarding population, one hundred are female while rest are male students.

The new dormitories are funded by the state at a cost of K1 million. They are due for completion at the end of the year. With the introduction of the free education policy, Mt Diamond has registered students from as far as Sogeri, and Tubuserea areas.

It also has a total of twenty three teachers.
