In a statement sent by PPL CEO, John Tangit, Mr Tangit said PPL linesman worked around the clock to construct the bypass to ensure that power was restored.

Mr Tangit stated that it was challenging and he commended his men for the swift response.

The bypass covers a length of 12 kilometers in the Sausi village.

PPL Management thanked the Madang Chamber of Commerce and Industry for their understanding during the emergency situation that has affected the businesses during the power outage.

Meanwhile, the township now is connected back to the Ramu Hydro Power Station to receive this vital service.

The PPL Management wish to thank the Madang public and business houses for their understanding during the past few weeks.
