Lae Metropolitan Commander, Chief Superintendent, Anthony Wagambie Jnr, has reiterated his warning to the general public in the city not to cause disturbances in the community.
He warned, police will be out in full force to ensure residents observe the celebration in peace. He said those intending to cause problems, will be dealt with.
The Lae District Court Magistrate has also directed police to increase all police bail to K300 per offence.
Police Easter Operations began today.
