Incumbent Northern Governor, Gary Juffa, has been declared as the Member for the Northern Regional Seat.
After the 29th Exclusion, the People’s Movement for Change Leader and former Customs Commissioner was declared at 11:30am today at the Higaturu Council Chambers in Popondetta by Election Manager, Peter Malaifeope.
In his first speech as Member-elect, Mr Juffa said he will assist with the formation of government but he is not interested in taking up any portfolios.
He said he will focus on the people of Oro, as he has been mandated to do so, and is adamant of bringing about change.
This will be Mr Juffa’s second term in office.
