In this episode:

Despite the absence of big name players such as Norma Ovasuru, Kaia Arua, Ravini Oa and Konio Oala, a young and determined Lewas outfit took out the Women’s T20 World Cup after 4 years against their rivals: Japan. We also caught up with 21 year old AFL player Taiva Lavai; a former Kurakum who is determined to make the women’s team this year.

The Lewas will be preparing for the 2016 Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup in India.

Former Australian Wallaby Brendan Cannon and Pacific Industries Marketing Manager Ashlon Chue were well opinionated on our Hot Topic of Violence in Sports.

They both share the same sentiments of violence playing no part in the growth and development of players or sport.

A team from the Australian Federal Police, in partnership with the Royal PNG Constabulary, have been carrying out an awareness program to encourage school children to steer away from peer pressure and trouble.

The two forces combined made time available to assist students and promote the importance of getting an education and utilizing it to one’s utmost potential.

We also caught up with 21 year old AFL player Taiva Lavai; a former Kurakum who is determined to make the women’s team this year.

There will be a lot of sporting action and we hope to catch you in action, so play hard and play safe.
