France’s Chavas Catches Gold

Settling for the 2nd spot in the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup 2016, and also displaying ever improving game plays, the French team did not depart with only their silver.

Goal Keeper Mylene Chavas also bagged the Adidas Golden Glove Award for being the best goalkeeper in the tournament.

In an earlier interview with EMTV Sports, this young woman said, football is her passion and there is no better feeling than going out onto the field.

19-year-old Chavas, who has persevered against all odds, and started out playing football with boys at the age of 7, merely because it was not really a girl’s sport, back then in her home town.

That passion has proved worthy of recognition as, she tops, the spot, as the best U-20 Goal Keeper of her time.

In a parting note, she encouraged all young girls in Papua New Guinea and the world, to get into football, and give it their best.
