While Sir Mekere Morauta was declared as the member elect for Moresby North West by the Assistant NCD Election Manager, Bale Kavanamur, another declaration was being made in a hotel room in Port Moresby.
Moresby North West Returning Officer, Moka Havara, delayed the declaration for Sir Mekere Morauta this morning at the Rita Flynn counting centre.
However, he later declared Joseph Tonde inside a hotel room, witnessed by several people.
An EMTV News Crew, responding to a media conference invitation, showed up at the Airways Hotel, and were escorted to Room 202.
Upon entering the room, our reporter and cameraman noticed Mr Havara, and North West Candidate, Joseph Tonde.
