The Aipinimanda community in Ward 23 of Wabag Rural Local Level Government (LLG )in Enga Province decided to contribute to assist a senior education officer to pay for medical treatment after injuring himself on a school visit recently.
Wabag District Primary School Inspector Bob Roger, during a recent school inspection to the Tolem Community School in Aipinimanda village was involved in an unfortunate road accident.
The government vehicle he was driving skid off the road due to heavy rainfall in the area fracturing bones in his right arm. After learning of this incident, the Yapokon and Kaleprae clans of the Yanaitin Tribe living in and around Aipinimanda contributed a total of K1,600 to assist in the medical bills and treatment.
On behalf of the community, Wabag District Development Authority Chief Executive Officer (CEO) presented the contributions to Bob Roger in his office.
Enga Provincial Government Policy and Planning Director and Deputy Chairman of Tolem Community School was also present along with the Headteacher Maso Pupu to ensure this small but significant ceremony went well on behalf of the Aipinimanda community.
Tolem Community School was established in 2014 and will be upgraded to primary school status with a funding allocation of K500,000 from the Wabag District Development Authority.
