Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) takes over as the Naming Rights Sponsor of the Goroka Cultural Show through a recently signed multi-year partnership with the Goroka Show Committee, reinforcing CCEP’s support for one of Papua New Guinea’s most iconic cultural celebrations.
The partnership begins this year ahead of the milestone 70th Goroka Cultural Show, to be held from 18th to 20th September in Eastern Highlands Province.
The Goroka Cultural Show is widely recognized as one of Papua New Guinea’s most significant cultural events, bringing together communities from across the country to celebrate the richness, diversity and enduring pride of PNG’s cultural heritage.
CCEP Country Director Tim Solly said the company was pleased to strengthen its support for the show as Naming Rights Sponsor, acknowledging the important role the event plays in preserving cultural identity, promoting national unity and showcasing Papua New Guinea’s unique traditions.
“The Goroka Cultural Show is more than an event; it is a national celebration of culture, identity and community. CCEP is proud to support a platform that honors tradition, strengthens community pride and presents Papua New Guinea’s cultural diversity to the world,” Solly said.
Mr. Solly also commended the Goroka Show Committee, the Eastern Highlands Provincial Government and the people of Eastern Highlands for their continued commitment to delivering an event that has stood the test of time and remains a proud symbol of Papua New Guinea’s cultural heritage.
Goroka Show Committee Chairlady Keryn Hargreaves welcomed the partnership, saying CCEP’s commitment would provide valuable support for the continued growth of the show.
“We are grateful to have CCEP come on board as the Naming Rights Sponsor for this historic 70th show. This support will assist us in continuing to grow the event while preserving the traditions and cultural values that make the Goroka Cultural Show so special,” Ms Hargreaves said.
The 70th Goroka Cultural Show is expected to bring together cultural groups from across Papua New Guinea for three days of traditional performances, music, rituals and vibrant cultural displays, attracting local and international visitors to the Eastern Highlands Province.
