Coconut production plays an important role in the country’s economy, with the coconut trade being a major source of export revenue.
However, production is generally concentrated in medium-sized farms.
Business PNG spoke to farmers from the Abau District about the benefits and challenges of Coconut production.

Her business, MaxtoneHaus, produces and distributes Organic Coconut Products, made in Papua New Guinea, using pure local coconut oil.
