Air Niugini Extends To Neighboring Countries

Flag Carrier Air Niugini has extended its services to neighboring countries, Solomon Islands, Fiji and Vanuatu.

Yesterday, Chief Executive, Simon Foo made the announcement when appointing Apisolom Kaili to head the Honiara Sales Office, and serve the airline in the region.

 

The re-establishment of the sales office in Honiara Solomon Islands, further strengthens Air Niugini’s presence in the Pacific.

 

The Honiara Sales Office will see Apisolom Kaili test his management skills in the airline industry, an opportunity presented by the airline to expose young nationals in executive management roles.

 

The announcement was followed by a cheque presentation by Enga Governor, Peter Ipatas to Air Niugini CEO, Simon Foo, for subsidizing flights to and from Wapenamanda.

 

Mr Foo applauded the Enga Provincial Government for their support, and says the partnership will continue to grow and deliver this vital service to the people.

 

Enga Governor, Peter Ipatas, said more developments are coming up in Enga, and the safest way into the province is air. Governor Ipatas said a total of K1 million will be paid out this year on a quarterly basis. This is the first payment for this year.
