“DON POLYE OPEN FOR QUESTIONING”Neville Choi

 

Kandep MP Don Polye, who is currently overseas, says he wants to present himself to police voluntarily to answer to any queries they may have regarding the Paraka case. He told EM TV that police have already questioned others with relation to the case and he stands, ready to assist.

 

He said when the case instigated by the PM is over, he will be available to tell the whole truth about the Paraka case and other related matters he feels the police should know about.

 


 

“INVESTOR CONFIDENCE AFFECTED”Ruth Rungula

 

Trade, Commerce and Industry Minister Richard Maru has expressed concern over how the country’s politics and recent activities have affected investor confidence. He expressed these concerns while pledging his support to Prime Minister Peter O’Neill as representative of the members of parliament from the Momase Region.

 

He said this was unfair to the nation and its people and must be resolved quickly.

 


 

“LAE SCHOOL FIGHT SOLUTIONS”Scott Waide

 

A Nawae block resident in Lae City, who has taken a community-based approach to resolving the ongoing school fights, says solutions can be found within communities. Manek Maipa and a small group of youths have been visiting schools, attempting to identify and isolate troublemakers within the school system.
 

Today at a public forum, he brought attention to children as young as 14, who were becoming involved in structured cult-like activities that lead to school fights.

 


“BALOB ACCESS”Bethanie Harriman

 

Students at Lae’s Balob Teachers College accessed internet on campus for the first time. The Teachers college is the 30th school to receive Telikom’s Clean I.T. service across the country. Students say it will aid their learning.

Telikom's Clean Internet initiative in Lae Schools is supported by Lae MP and Minister for Community Development, Loujaya Kouza. Bumayong Secondary School will open theirs tomorrow.

 


“PNGRFL”Tere Alex

 

The PNG Rugby Football League and National Rugby League have finally come to an agreement, to have free movement of players from SP PNG Hunters to the semiprofessional competition, Digicel Cup. Some of the key points noted by the two rugby bodies include, PNGRFL to advise Digicel Cup franchises list of players available for selection on a weekly basis, and provide referees for the Digicel Cup matches.
