The Port Moresby Soccer Association ended its FA Cup challenge with Mungkas thrashing Rapatona four to nil in the womens division and University taking on Defence in the Mens.
Defence had had good lead up to the grand final having confidence boosting wins over lower division clubs.
University on the other hand would be counting on the experiences of Reginald Davani and John Robert in midfield and relying on the strike power of Cyril Muta banking on their superior ball possession.
Defences left one player up front and were looking for the long balls forward to counter attack.
Cyril Muta was booked early for a challenge on defender Lachlan McGovin as Defence’s backline stood firm against the quality of University’s attack.
The competition had run for five weeks and PMSA is hoping that with the success of the tournament, they can be able to continue on a similar styled competition.
