Crocs Ready to Hunt

The Prima Gulf Isapeas are ready for a death-roll of a Digicel Cup, this season.

Residents near the shop said the action is unbecoming as public trust and safety is questionable when members of discipline forces are involved in such acts.

The police top management is aware of this report and other queries raised by the media in relation to police brutality and abuse of rights

It was around 1.30am on Easter Sunday when 2 police vehicles with known registration pulled over this shop at Gerehu’s 24 market.

Three officers broke through the front liquor counter while the others smashed through the residential gate…This woke the shop keeper and fellow workers.

The officers then assaulted the shop keeper and others who were present at the scene.

No explanation or search warrant was issued as the police invaded the premises.

Mr Akipe says the police involved are known and will be identified once investigation is carried out.

Meanwhile Police Commissioner Toami Kulunga condemned the actions in a media statement and says if true, criminal and disciplinary actions will be taken against the policemen.

He said the police hierarchy is committed in holding members of the force accountable for their actions.
