Esi Loan has come on board as the major sponsor of the very first Trukai Fun Run to be held outside of the National Capital District.
Makerupu Primary School in the Rigo district, has confirmed 500 children, who are anticipating the event to be held this coming weekend.
Since the inception of the Trukai Fun Run, the event has never been hosted outside of the NCD Region.
Makerupu is a village along the Rigo coast, just 3 hours to the east of Port Moresby by road with a population of 2000 villagers.
Scott Vavine, Chariman of Makerupu Primary School, stands proud in declaring his village has produced prominent sports people, such as Veitu Diro, and Kimberly Alex.
Given the villagers history of predominant sportsmen and women, this event is set to go a long way in terms of bringing the youth together from not just Makerupu itself, but surrounding villages along the coastline.
Representative from Esi Loan, Paiwa Baldwin, being an athlete from the Central Province, relates to the excitement and enthusiasm initiatives like this, bring forward to the people.
