BSP Kriket Blast Kicks Off

Bank South Pacific’s (BSP) School Kriket Blast, kicked off with its inaugural competition in Madang last week.

Yabong Cricket field came to life when Jomba Primary School, Gum Primary School, Graged Primary School and Kusbau Primary School took the field in the U-15s and U-17s division.

 

This was the first ever Inter-School Kriket Competition in Madang that has attracted more than 500 participants, mostly students, teachers. Some parents took the time out to umpire and support their children in the games.

 

Jomba Primary School took the honours in the U15 and U17 boys divisions whilst in the Girls division Gum Primary School took out the U15 title, and Graged Primary School took home the U17 Girls trophy.

 

Madang’s Regional Cricket Manager, Paul Sibeth, was impressed with the talent that was on show during the competition. He was also pleased with the students’ display of skills and their understanding of the game.
