Construct Oceanic Limited has been recognised by the government for carrying out much needed road works in the country.

The local company from Southern Highlands has carried out close to K80 million worth of road projects. The next major road project is to rehabilitate the neglected Sak Valley road.

When it comes to civil works and road construction, Construct Oceanic Limited is a household name in the Southern Highlands Province, as well as parts of the Highlands region. The company has maintained Mendi Town roads and sections of the Highlands region to national road standards.

So far, in the last four years, the company has completed close to K80 million worth of projects. Some iconic road projects undertaken by Construct Oceanic include the Mendi Town roads at the cost of K15 million, the Angula to Kutubu-Kibiru road worth K9 million and the K23 million Kiburu to Lai road.

Others projects include the Werin to Semin road, worth K10 million and maintenance of the Ialibu Town road at the cost of K5 million. Currently, the company is upgrading K16 million worth of road projects in the region.

All these projects were awarded through the Central Supplies and Tenders Board; however, today the company’s efforts were recognised by the national government. Through an NEC decision, Construct Oceanic was awarded a K20 million contract to maintain the Sak Valley road.  Road work construction is expected to begin early next year.
