TUBUSEREIA PRIMARY SCHOOL RECEIVES K340,000 6-IN-1 CLASSROOM BLOCK

Tubusereia Primary School students now have a modern 6-in-1 classroom worth K340,000, replacing a 70-year-old building and expanding capacity for about 300 students in Grades 1 and 3.

The project was delivered through a public-private partnership between BSP Financial Group, Hiri Local Level Government, and local leaders.

The new facility was handed over last week by Deputy Opposition Leader and Hiri-Koiari MP Keith Iduhu, BSP Waigani Banking Centre Branch Manager Samuel Okti, and Hiri LLG President Haoda Rogea.

Completed in 8 weeks, the redevelopment demolished the old Early Learning Centre building and replaced it with contemporary classrooms. Works also included a refurbished landing with new staircases to improve student safety, and a brand-new ablution block to lift health and sanitation standards.

“This project is a celebration of a shared vision and our collective commitment to our children’s future,” said Hiri LLG President  Haoda Rogea.

“We encourage the school and village to care for this facility so it may serve for the next 70 years and beyond.”

BSP Group General Manager for Corporate Affairs and Community, Hari Rabura, said the block marks a major milestone for education in Hiri. The project was co-funded by Hiri LLG K180,000; BSP K60,000; Hon. Rea Loi K45,000; Hon. Bessie Loinou K25,000; and Keith Iduhu who provided 100 desks valued at K30,000. School leaders, parents, and villagers attended the commissioning.
