MINAMB PEACE AND SECURITY FOUNDATION LAUNCHED IN WAPENAMANDA

Minamb Valley in the Wapenamanda District of Enga Province has launched the Minamb Peace and Security Foundation Inc.

The foundation was established by Andrew Andup, a prominent businessman from the Nenain tribe of Anji village located near the provincial border of Western Highlands Province.

Andup, who is the owner of Wizzy Transport and other businesses in the Highlands Region, highlighted that the foundation’s vision is centered on promoting lasting peace, strengthening communities, and securing a better future for the people of Minamb Valley.

He mentioned that the official launch of the foundation and its development plan will take place on April 2, 2026 at the Unda Primary School.

The event is part of a three-day program beginning on March 31, 2026, where respected leaders and prominent figures from Wapenamanda District and Enga Province will gather to share their perspectives on the foundation’s vision and goals.

The program will include cultural and commemorative activities and ceremonies marking the historic journey of early missionaries through the Minamb Valley starting tomorrow and will conclude the following tomorrow.
