MP PRIORITIZE STUDENTS’ SAFETY

The member for Bulolo and chairman of the District Development Authority Sam Basil Jr., has taken proactive steps to ensure the safety of Bulolo and Morobe students at the University of Goroka following recent clashes with locals.

By arranging for a unit from MS 15 and two buses to escort the students, the DDA is prioritizing their safety and well-being.

As the situation unfolds, the University Council’s forthcoming statement will likely provide further clarity on the incident. For now, it’s reassuring to know that the students’ safety and welfare are the top priority.

“I have instructed my team to maintain communications with our student leaders and school admin plus our security personnel to ensure safe passage of our students back home,” he said.
