Wholesale in Port Moresby robbed of 168 cartons of cigarettes

A wholesale in Port Moresby lost 168 cartons of cigarettes following a robbery on Saturday afternoon.

Police have reported that a group of men dressed in police uniform followed the vehicle transporting cigarettes to “Choulai Wholesale”, held up the driver at the Two Mile Hill and took off with the vehicle carrying the cigarettes.

A K100, 000 reward is being offered to anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects involved.       

Police in Port Moresby are also advising shop owners not to buy cartons of stolen cigarettes.
