Two strong women candidates who were contesting the North Bougainville open seat have been eliminated from the counting.
At exclusion 24, Elizabeth Burain who was the former ABG North Bougainville Women’s Representative in the Bougainville House of Representative was eliminated out of the race.
Rachael Opeti Konaka who has maintained her position in the top five since day one collected 3,377 at exclusion 24.
However, she was eliminated at the 25th exclusion.
Konaka and Burain are among the five women who raised their hands to contest this year’s national general elections.
