Wales Wary

After Samoa’s 78-nil loss to the All Blacks last Friday, Wales is now wary of the prospect of meeting a team that has so much to prove on home soil.

Though Wales Coach Robin MacBryde is positive his team will cope in Apia, come Friday.

According to reports by BBC Sports today, Coach MacBryde is expecting a much stronger opposition this time, as Manu Samoa will have home ground advantage.

They are wary because this is a much younger outfit compared to the previous Welsh side.

And they arrived today in Samoa with only 27 players on board.

The Welsh Team also has lost four players, one of whom was Alex Cuthbert who is nursing an injury.

With the two teams history of nine matches in which, Samoa won 5, this meet will see both sides having a point to prove.

Manu Samoa and Wales last met in Apia in 1994 where the Samoans trashed them 34 points to 9.

And this time, MacBryde has warned his young team to expect very strong opposition.

Meanwhile, the Samoans are nursing their wounds from the sour defeat, and with the public backing they received at Faleolo International Airport yesterday, upon returning from Auckland, they are expected to come back fighting on Friday.
